Northminster Baptist Church seeks applicants to serve as its Associate Pastor for Students, a full-time position. While pastoral care and worship leadership responsibilities are shared among the members of the pastoral staff to varying degrees, the Associate Pastor for Students is primarily responsible for ministry to the youth and college age members of the church (7th grade through College), ensuring that these members are a part of the life of Northminster and establishing the church as a part of their lives.
Northminster was constituted as a church on Sunday, December 17, 1967. Through the church covenant, Northminster’s members affirm a belief in the autonomy of the local church, the soul competency of the individual, the priesthood of all believers, the authority of the scriptures, religious liberty, and the practice of believer’s baptism. A lay-led church with a passion for missions, fewer statements better describe the attitude of its members toward church life than those spoken at an early sermon:
“We agree to differ. We resolve to love. We unite to serve.”
