Northminster is a lay-led church. We take seriously Paul’s words in Ephesians that our pastors are called to “equip the saints for the work of ministry,” and that this work is to be carried out by the entire church.
Much of this work (and play!) is designated to our committees. During the summer and fall, the Committee on Committees works to combine the needs of each committee with members’ requests to serve. We seek to draw from the full membership of Northminster, balancing institutional memory with fresh perspectives. Committee membership is a big part of the “ties that bind” us as a congregation, as we grow together through service and in friendship.
